Michal Schuster – Academic & Business Translations, Medical Translations

 

 

I have a Ph.D in translation and translation research, with a specialty in English-Hebrew written translation as well as consecutive and simultaneous interpreting.  I have been translating for 15 years, while teaching and conducting research in this field.  I teach interpreting in universities and large organizations (e.g. HMOs, The Jewish Agency, Translation companies) and translate for researchers and companies operating in Israel.  I specialize in communication and inter-cultural work and consult organizations in linguistic and cultural competence.

Due to my specialty in health, I like translating any materials pertaining to healthcare. I especially enjoy translating training and management materials of large organizations and adapting it to the Israeli audience.  My network of researchers, physician and caregivers, help me to provide quality translation in these areas. 

 

I am a language-collector.  I have thus far learned 10 languages, my latest challenge being Israeli Sign Language.  As part of my language-craze, I own dictionaries even in languages I don't yet know and “The Little Prince" in 25 languages!
