Irith Bouman – Dutch & English into Hebrew
I am the daughter of Dutch foreign journalists who lived and worked in Israel for many years. Consequently, I was born and raised in Israel having two mother tongues - Hebrew and Dutch - as well as two cultures and nationalities which define my identity. I acquired the English language, of which I'm terribly fond, at a very young age and thus Hebrew, Dutch and English became the dominant languages of my personal, cultural as well as professional lives.
I am educated in Arts and humanities (BA The Gerrit Rietveld Academie [Art & Design], Amsterdam, BA and MA Philosophy and History of Science and Ideas, Tel Aviv University), and earned a Translation and Translation Editing diploma from the Tel Aviv University.
Apart from translation, my professional experience includes work in the fields of media, sustainability and human rights.
